Colourful Semantics

Colourful Semantics

Colorful Semantics is a structured, visual approach used to support children in understanding
and building sentences. Different colours are used to represent key parts of a sentence such as
who, doing, what, and where, helping language become easier to organise and understand.
This approach is especially effective for children who may have difficulties with speech,
language delay, autism, learning needs, or challenges expressing their ideas clearly.
We use Colorful Semantics to help children develop:
 Longer and clearer sentences
 Better grammar and word order
 Understanding of WH questions (who, what, where)
 Vocabulary and storytelling skills
 Confidence in spoken and written language
Sessions are personalised, engaging, and designed to make communication easier and more
successful for each child.
