Shape Coding

Shape Coding is a visual method used to help children understand grammar and sentence
structure. It uses colours, shapes, and lines to represent different parts of language, making
grammar easier to see, understand, and use.
It is especially helpful for children who may have difficulties with expressive language,
understanding sentence rules, or using grammar correctly.
We use Shape Coding to support children with:
 Sentence building and structure
 Grammar skills
 Use of tenses
 Pronouns and describing words
 Understanding word order
 Confidence in spoken and written language

Sessions are tailored to each child’s level and designed to make learning grammar clear,
engaging, and practical.
